Ah, it’s that time of year again…my daughter’s birthday! You thought I was going to say Valentine’s Day? That’s just too predictable. She’s going to be 20 this year and I marvel at how lucky I am to have her in my life. We went out the other night and while she was talking to me, I had flashbacks of her as a child - this little happy and beautiful girl. She’s grown into an exceptional woman and I’m endlessly proud of her. She is and will always be my Valentine’s Day gift.

Two orchids were placed
in a southern window,
able to touch
only if they bloomed
in the right direction.
